Panda Express named 2018 Corporate Partner of the Year
Panda Express, the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant chain in the United States, was recently named the 2018 Corporate Partner of the Year by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals).
The Corporate Partner of the Year award recognizes an outstanding organization that has demonstrated extraordinary commitment to CMN Hospitals or Foundations through innovative fundraising and awareness initiatives. The award announcement was part of Children’s Hospitals Week, celebrated March 18-24, 2019.
In Southern Arizona, Panda Express raised $221,219 to help children treated at TMC for Children nearly doubling 2017’s total. That means for the last three years Panda Express has raised more than $500,000 for sick kids in Southern Arizona!
Panda Express guests and associates at more than 2,100 locations have raised $21.5 million for CMN Hospitals in 2018, bringing the total contribution to nearly $60 million since 2007. Funds are raised during a year-round program that encourages guests to support the health and education needs of underserved youth.
The 2018 donation from Panda Express makes the company the fastest growing CMN Hospitals partner – both in percentage of increase and in dollar increase, year after year.
Panda Cares is committed to serving the communities in which Panda Express operates. As the philanthropic arm of Panda Restaurant Group, Panda Cares provides food, funding and volunteer services to underserved youth in areas of health and education and supports relief efforts during times of disaster.
Panda helps fund programs that focus on character building, academic success, college access and success for students across the nation. Through their grants, they have committed more than $51.4 million since 2008, impacting more than 976,000 students.
