Change Kids’ Health, Change the Future During Lunar New Year at Panda Express

This Friday, February 12, 2021, marks the beginning of Lunar New Year and the Year of the Ox in the Chinese zodiac. Lunar New Year celebrates the coming together of family and friends to feast and welcome the new year and is the most important festival in China.

Since 2007, Panda Express has been bringing good fortune to millions of kids treated at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals by asking for donations at the register all year long. Funds donated stay local and impact patients and families in your community. Additionally, Panda plans to open more Centers of Hope, which are hospital spaces designed to provide a safe and comforting place where kids can be kids again.

We want to join alongside the associates and guests celebrating this Lunar New Year and take a moment to recognize the immense impact made on Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital in 2020. More than $73,338 were raised for pediatric wellness programs and medical needs grants at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. We would like to recognize our top 3 Panda Express locations for their constant dedication and generosity toward the Children’s Miracle Network.

One way that Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals funds are used is to support the NICview cameras in the Level III NICU at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. Parents can keep an eye on their little ones while they are away from the hospital. When Baby Arden and Baby Alaric were born at 29 weeks, they had to spend several weeks in the Level III NICU. Follow along to see how mom and dad were able to check up on their babies while away from the hospital.
