CMN Hospitals celebrates Asian Pacific American Heritage Month

In honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, we recognize Andrew and Peggy Cherng for leading Panda Express on their journey to $21.5 million raised for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in 2018.

In celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, which pays tribute to the generations of Asian and Pacific Islanders who have enriched America’s history and are instrumental in its future success, Peggy and Andrew Cherng, co-founders and co-CEOs of Panda Express, expanded on their 2018 Trailblazers video series by creating a short documentary highlighting the perseverance and humility of Asian-American originals including: Harry Shum Jr.; Samantha Duenas, AKA DJ SoSuperSam; Marcus Choi; Chloe Kim; Boba Guys (Andrew Chau and Bin Chen); Phil Yu, AKA Angry Asian Man; and Verena Mei.

Panda Express has given more than $59 million to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 2007. The Panda Express family has provided unrestricted funds to a total of 131 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals–helping millions of kids live better. Andrew Cherng sums up their philosophy best, “Life happens with help from other people.”
