Dell Children's Meets with Andrew Cherng, Founder and Chairman of Panda Restaurant Group, Inc.

On Friday, October 13, CMN Hospitals staff had the chance to meet Andrew Cherng, co-founder and co-chairman of Panda Express, in Austin, TX. The leadership team invited Dell Children’s Medical Center to say thank you in person. Account Director Kellie Tiner was also able to attend: “It was a wonderful chance to say thank you from our Austin hospital and all our hospitals. Megan our local Program Director and I both shared about where current funds are going and where past funds have been able to make a difference for in the Austin area. While Andrew was visiting the store a customer even shared their story about being in the hospital.”

Megan Campuzano, Primary Program Director at Dell Children’s, said, “The Panda visit was amazing. In addition to getting valuable face time with their leadership, I also got to connect more closely with my local contacts as we made arrangements for his visit. We have a great group of 22 locations benefiting Dell Children’s and they have shown incredible growth in the last year. In Austin, Panda Express increased from $65,000 in 2015 to over $106,000 in 2016. We celebrated that with a check presentation at one of their Round Rock locations and Andrew was so pleased as customers were cheering in the restaurant.”
