Change Kids’ Health, Change the Future During Lunar New Year at Panda Express
This Friday, February 12, 2021, marks the beginning of Lunar New Year and the Year of the Ox in the Chinese zodiac. Lunar New Year celebrates the coming together of family and friends to feast and welcome the New Year and is the most important festival in China.
Since 2007, Panda Express has been bringing good fortune to millions of kids treated at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals by asking for donations at the register all year long. Funds donated stay local and impact patients and families in your community.
We want to join alongside the associates and guests celebrating this Lunar New Year and take a moment to recognize the immense impact made on Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in 2020. More than $100,000 was raised to support the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of underserved children in our community through services like Teen Xpress.
Teen Xpress is one of six programs offered through The Howard Phillips Center for Children and Families, part of Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, which provides services to some of the most-at risk children in Central Florida each year. Teen Xpress provides children ages 11-19, located in high poverty areas, with free healthcare services through a mobile unit that travels to middle and high schools. Services include comprehensive medical care, mental health counseling, nutrition consultations and family-centered case management. Teen Xpress helps to identify early signs of complex health issues, offers lab services and prescribes medications to ensure youth have the resources needed to promote overall health and well-being.
